However, Luhut said the opening would not be carried out directly. The opening will be carried out gradually and continuously.
In addition, the opening of flights will only be carried out for foreign travelers in the category of non-migrant workers.
"It is only intended for non-PMI PPLN," he said.
Luhut guarantees that the government will not be careless in carrying out the opening. The government said it would continue to tighten so that the spread of Covid could be minimized.
"In addition to strict quarantine regulations following the applicable circular, Bali currently provides additional options for quarantine, the bubble starts in 5 hotels with a total of 447 rooms and 6 CHSE-certified vessels from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy," he said.

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Corona virus cases continue to rise in Indonesia. Yesterday, January 30, 2022, new positive cases of Covid-19 returned above 10,000 or 12,422 cases to be exact.
This is also influenced by transmission of Omicron which tends to be more infectious than other variants.
However, the Ministry of Health said that the percentage increase in cases in Indonesia was still lower than in neighboring countries. Corona cases in Indonesia are also said to be more controlled than some countries.
The following is a comparison of positive COVID-19 confirmations in Indonesia and neighboring countries:
Indonesia: 13.27 per 1 million population
Thailand: 110.20 per 1 million population
Malaysia: 121.19 per 1 million population
Singapore: 825.80 per 1 million population
Philippines: 233.71 per 1 million population
India: 220.71 per 1 million population
Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Vaccination Ministry of Health, dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi said the Ministry of Health imposed a level of restriction on community activities (PPKM) in each region, making Corona cases in Indonesia more controllable.
The PPKM is accompanied by strict health protocols, namely wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands with soap, reducing mobility, and staying away from crowds.
"These efforts are carried out consistently and are evaluated regularly. So that every time there are additional cases with small or large numbers, good care management is immediately carried out at the hospital," he said quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Health, Monday (31/1/2022) .
As an anticipatory measure for Omicron, the Ministry of Health provides telemedicine services for COVID-19 patients who are self-isolating (isoman). Starting from consultation to get free medicine.
"We always urge the public not to travel if it's not really important. Even now, in the midst of the Omicron variant, we always ask the public to postpone overseas travel because many cases of this variant occur overseas," he concluded.
Bali Possibly Reopening to International Tourists Mid Feb? - Current immigration rules for any international travellers entering Indonesia
Editor's Comments:
There has been a lot of rumours last week about changes in immigration rules and possibly even ending quarantine for those entering Bali and the rest of Indonesia.
One reason is the news that Singapore Airlines has announced they will start international flights directly to Bali effective February 16th.
SIA Resumes Daily Bali Flights on 16 Feb.
In a written press release published 28 January 2022, Singapore Airlines have announced that they will restart daily flight service connecting Singapore and Denpasar, Bali, effective 16 February 2022.
In resuming flights to Bali, Singapore will operate Boeing 787-10 aircraft configured to carry 337 passengers, comprising 36 business class and 301 economy seats.
In announcing the resumption of its Bali flights, Alvin Seah, general manager – Indonesia for Singapore Airline, said: “The resumption of daily flights to Bali is part of SIA’s long-term commitment to grow Indonesia’s tourism industry. The SIA passenger network currently covers 64 destinations in 34 countries, and we will do our best to promote Indonesia. Our services to Denpasar and Jakarta will continue to provide flexibility to our customers who wish to travel to and from Indonesia.”
Before the global pandemic, Singapore Airlines operated five daily flights between Bali and Singapore. The airline is now closely monitoring demand on the Bali-Singapore segment and pledges to match capacity to demand as demand continues to recover for international travel.
Singapore Airline Flight Schedule to/from Bali
Effective 16 February 2022
Singapore to Bali – operating on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
SQ 938 9:05 11:50 B787
Singapore to Bali – operating on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
SQ 944 16:20 19:05 B 787
Bali to Singapore – operating Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday
SQ 939 13:00 15:40 B 787
Bali to Singapore – operating Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
SQ 945 20:15 22:55 B 787
Most people in the know are well aware that they can plan flights but unless they remove the quarantine there is very little chance of any of the planes having enough passengers to make them economical.
So perhaps Singapore Airlines know something that we don't yet.
Maybe they're going to extend the Batam Bintang Island Travel Bubble . Maybe????
The fact is these are still the official rules laid out on the Indonesian immigration website as of today January 31st, 2022.

Are you average? Learn the average number of sexual partners for each generation? From baby boomers to millennials
It looks as though Generation X are having a whole lot of fun
- Anna Duff
- 7:54 ET, Jan 17 2022
IT appears that the younger the generation you come from the more sexual partners you are more likely to have
AT that least would appear to be the case from the results of a survey.
What's the average number of sexual partners for each generation?
In order to establish how our sex lives have changed over the years, healthcare company euroClinix surveyed more than 2,000 people.
Baby Boomers
It seems baby boomers - aged 54 to 72 - have had the least amount of sexual partners, averaging 10.7 throughout their lifetimes.
Boomer women have had an average of 7.4 partners, while boomer males have enjoyed 12.9.
most read in fabulous
Generation X
Interestingly, Generation X - aged between 38 and 53 - seem to be more liberated than those younger and older than them, racking up an average of 13.1 lovers.
Men have had 16.1 partners, and women of this age average 10.1.
But on the whole, it looks as though it could be the youngest generation who end up with the highest numbers.
Millennials
Millennials - usually thought of as those aged between 23 and 37 - have slightly higher numbers, already clocking up an average of 11.6.
This equates to 10.8 partners for women and 13.4 for men.
Generation Z
Generation Z - who were born after 1995 - have already amassed an average of 5.6 sexual partners.
Men have had an average of 7.6 partners - although women are trailing behind with 2.6.
Meanwhile, 14 per cent of all respondents said they've only ever had sex with one person.
Just 2 per cent of respondents had had a total of 91 sexual partners.

Bali & Lombok Indonesia works to ease accommodation crunch during MotoGP Indonesia
Editor's Comments:
Having just returned from Lombok and staying at one of the best villas near the Moto GP course I can tell you first hand that most of the accommodations in Southern Lombok are very poor.
MotoGP Indonesia in Mandalika, Lombok |
Roughly 100,000 people are seeking accommodations for the upcoming MotoGP race.
I highly recommend that they consider spending most of their time on Bali's East Coast close to the airport in areas such as Sanur where our Bali Luxury Villas are located.
Then in a short 20 minute trip to the airport and perhaps a 30-60 minute wait and another 20 minutes on the plane they could be dropped off at the Lombok Airport approximately one hour from the GP course.
If it was me I would try to organize a one night stay there so I could fly in early the morning see the races, check in my room room later in the afternoon and see the races the next day. Then fly home that night back to Bali.
Also there's not very much to do in Southern Lombok.
The restaurants and facilities are very low quality and very limited.
Better to come to Bali and enjoy extremely low prices right now with Luxury Villas starting as low as eight dollars per person per night for four-bedroom 450 m² luxury villa with a private pool and private Housekeeper.
They are located on the border of the Hyatt Regency hotel within walking distance to the beach and dozens of restaurants spas etc.
Indonesia works to ease accommodation crunch during MotoGP Indonesia
By Mimi Hudoyo

Indonesia’s tourism ministry, government agencies and private sector players are working together to resolve a potential accommodation crunch during MotoGP Indonesia in Mandalika, Lombok from March 18 to 20.
The race is expected to attract some 100,000 domestic and international spectators, but Lombok has only 23,000 rooms as of December 2021. Lombok has only 23,000 hotel rooms to serve a potential 100,000 MotoGP Indonesia spectators; Mandalika pictured
Sandiaga Uno, minister of tourism and creative economy, said various types of accommodation will be prepared to overcome the shortage.
Options include 300 units of homestays developed by the Ministry of Public Work and Housing, lodgings in tourism villages across the island, 100 camps prepared by Eiger and the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation, as well as 100 to 200 cabins offered by accommodation startup Bobobox for up to 400 guests.
Indonesia National Shipping as well as phinisi cruise operators will also step in with floating accommodation.
Sandiaga said Bali could help with Lombok’s excess accommodation needs, and work is underway to provide shuttle flights between Lombok and Bali. Tickets will be bundled with accommodation.
However, Ndang Mawardi, CEO of Inspiro Group, which promotes music, entertainment and sports events, told TTG Asia that sports spectators are typically not picky about accommodation.
He said: “Star-rated hotels are not a priority for sport tourists. They will feel comfortable staying in an RV (recreational vehicle) or on camping grounds as long as there are restaurants or a food court, a place where they can cook their own meals, as well as clean showers and toilets.”
He emphasised that convenient access to the race is more crucial, therefore the option of staying in Bali and commuting daily to Lombok is not ideal.
“Taking commercial flights back and forth for two days will be costly and tiring (for the sport tourists)”, said Ndang, adding that those who could afford helicopter commute would find it more convenient.
Ndang also urged the organising committee to ensure sufficient dining venues for sports tourists. Food trucks could be brought to Mandalika to supplement restaurants in the destination. Non-halal dining zones should also be set aside for travellers to enjoy alcoholic drinks, he suggested.
Finally, transportation services must be able to cater to sports tourists who will need to travel from venue to various entertainment locations after races. – Additional reporting by Tiara Maharani Kusuma

Time for Economy and Leo's born in the Year of the Tiger to Roar.
Editor's comments:
Editor Lawrence with beautiful intelligent wife Notaris Azizah |
Time for this editor to roar
The last couple weeks I have felt an extraordinary increase in energy.
I just realized what may be the cause.
Never mind the fact that I lost 4 kg since the beginning of the year and am playing 8 to 10 hours a tennis every week.
I'm also eating right, fasting between 6 PM and 11 AM and a few other things.
Year of the Tiger:
I just realized that next week February 2nd. will be the Chinese New Year of the Tiger.
As I always tell people “I was born a Leo in the year of the Tiger ”.
I can purr or I can roar depends how you treat me.
I didn't know that astrologers consider a combination of a Leo born in the year of the Tiger as Astrological Royalty, whatever that means.
It's time for us Tiger Babies to roar:
Now that I have explained all the myths around tigers and Leos I don't believe in any of it.
We are all born naked. Some of our us are blessed with above average intelligence from our parents genes and some of us not.
But we all have is a choice of being a winner or loser.
Roaring 20s repeats itself:
As Winston Churchill said those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it
I believe we are doomed to repeat the post-pandemic economy that followed the last worst pandemic from 1918 to 1920.
You must remember that most people around the world have curtailed spending for two years an the pandemic is almost over.
After the 1918 to 1920 pandemic gross domestic product, a measure of the world's economy grew rapidly after the pandemic until 1929.
So I believe we have 8 to 10 years of exponential growth in the world's economies.
The time to benefit from that rise is not after you read about it in the newspapers. It's now realizing that history does repeat itself and everybody will be buying travelling and spending.
Those that survived the great pandemic will thriv.
That is why prices are rising rapidly because more people are going after the same amount of goods which is the simplest definition of inflation.
Inflation will raise all tangibles.
A tangible is something you can touch and feel such as gold, silver, platinum, copper wheat, an practically every commodity including real estate.
I believe that along with the year of the Tiger will be the end of COVID - 19 as a major pandemic and the start of a major economic boom similar to the end of the 1918 pandemic which was followed by the roaring 20s.
After celebrating 50 years in business last year and 20 more years
on this earth I feel I have a pretty good background to make an educated
guess of what's going to happen next.
For me we are positioned perfectly with our brand-new renovated Emerald Hotel Apartments for sale Starting at $58,888.
We also have our brand-new retirement project designed to cater to the whims of 25% of the population of the world who are baby boomers at Bali Luxury Retirement Villas.
To top it all off we have our Best Bali Real Estate Selling for 20% to 50% discounts from their 2014 highs
I also feel that Indonesia which is often been called "A Rising Tiger" has just been let out of his cage and with the lowest cost of labour, a willing workforce, a government who is making corruption one of his biggest priorities and abundant natural resources.
It is a Lion ready to get out of its cage in the year of the Tiger.
Evidently us Leos born in the Tiger are considered astrological royals, whatever that means so what happened here.
