DENPASAR - Super Air Jet made its first flight from Jakarta to Bali, Thursday (11/18/2021). The new flights are expected to help increase tourist visits to Bali.
Super Air Jet landed at Ngurah Rai Airport at 18:39 WITA. Upon arrival, the airline using the Airbus A320 aircraft was greeted with a water canon salute as a sign of the inaugural flight.
"This will increase the variety of choices for air transportation service users," said General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Ngurah Rai Airport Herry AY Sikado.
He explained that there are eight domestic airlines currently operating at Ngurah Rai Airport. The type of airline will certainly be a convenience for prospective passengers to choose flights according to their needs.
In the last two months, there was an increase in the number of passengers by 71% compared to the same period in 2020. Meanwhile, the number of aircraft operating also grew by 4%.
Herry hopes that the Super Jet Air flight to Bali will revive the aviation sector as well as help the economic recovery of Bali, which has been slumped for almost two years due to the pandemic.
