The Ambassador Australian to Indonesia, Penny Williams, visited Island Bali to explore opportunities for cooperation, especially in the fields of higher education and the creative and digital economy.
In a written statement received by the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, Thursday, it was said that the visit was Williams' first official visit and she met with the Governor of Bali I Wayan Koster, Denpasar Mayor IG Ngurah Jaya Negara and a number of figures in the fields of business, education and society. .
“I look forward to meeting leaders and innovators among Bali's vibrant business, educational and creative communities, and learning about their extensive relationship with Australia,” said Williams.
According to her, collaboration between the two countries in these sectors continues to develop.
The partnership also contributes to promoting Australia's greatest assets, namely diversity, openness and innovation. Not only meeting business people and the creative sector and visiting their operational sites, she will also meet education alumni from Australia who have contributed to Bali's economic growth.
"As our economy recovers from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, partnerships and collaborations focused on skills development and training in the creative and digital sectors are becoming increasingly important," she said.
