Ajik Krisna now owns the largest chain of souvenir centers in Bali, with a constant stream of visitors, and is widely recognized by all tourists who set foot on the Island of the Gods. Everything was done without a college degree.
Even in the biography on Krisna's official website (Krisnabali.co.id), information on Ajik Krisna's title is S2 (SD, SMP). Either this is an intentional joke, or a typo by the writing team.

Facts about Ajik Krisna's career, owner of a Bali souvenir center
Starting From the Security Post
Ajik migrated from his birthplace, Buleleng, to Sanur to seek his fortune. His overseas story managed to attract the sympathy of the owner of Hotel Rani so that he was allowed to stay at the security post to participate in maintaining security and cleanliness in the post area.
After that, Ajik took the initiative to wash the car of the hotel owner and guests. From there he managed to collect a decent amount of money, up to IDR 2.5 million at most. Not a small amount at the time.
For two years, Ajik lived in a small booth at the security post and covered his pillow with bricks. But in the end Ajik was forced to quit his job due to acute rheumatism.
Entering Convection
Ajik continues his efforts to make a living by working in his uncle's small convection which he also rides with for a while. He helps his uncle without getting paid.
Then Ajik ventured to ask for a job from Sidharta, a person who often ordered sewing orders from his uncle, driven by Ajik's desire to prove and present himself to his future wife.
After getting married, Ajik and his wife started to develop their own convection business where they live.
Orders began to sell well they received from factories, offices, and hotels. This made this husband and wife dare to expand their business, move to a new, more crowded place, and even dare to open a clothes shop in Denpasar.
This clothing store is called Cok Konfeksi. It is through this shop that Ajik builds a network to various places, he is also diligent in receiving client orders from various market shares. In a short time, Ajik's convection grew rapidly and became one of the largest in Bali.
Pioneering Krisna Souvenir Center, the Largest in Bali
One day an idea popped up in Ajik's head to set up a Balinese souvenir center, inspired by the very high flow of tourists to Bali. He thought of collecting all Balinese souvenirs, ranging from knick-knacks, handicrafts, food, drinks, clothes, and so on, into one center.
He then founded the first Krisna Souvenir Center in Denpasar in 2007. But what boosted Krisna's popularity was Ajik's business expansion by cooperating with designers to produce Balinese t-shirts.
The business plan that Ajik had predicted had paid off. The typical Balinese t-shirt exploded in the market. Visitors began to keep coming to Krisna Denpasar to look for the t-shirts produced, besides looking for other typical souvenirs.
A year later Ajik managed to open a second store in Denpasar, but with a slicker concept. Ajik cooperates with property entrepreneurs for the opening of the second Krisna with a wider parking area and a restaurant for visitors.
Ajik also utilizes a network of cooperation with tourism industry players to boost Krisna's popularity. This strategy has proven to be successful in bringing tourists to visit and shop at Krisna.
Two years after the establishment of the second outlet in Denpasar, Ajik again opened a third outlet with an area of 1,000 m2 on Sunset Road. He wants to distribute more handicraft products from Balinese craftsmen.
Krisna's expansion continues to be aggressive. One of the innovative steps he took was to open a Krisna outlet which operates 24 hours in Kuta, following the flow of tourism in the area that almost never dies.
Such is the story of Ajik Krisna, the owner of a Balinese souvenir center who started his journey by washing cars, until now he has a total of seven Krisna outlets in Bali and several mini outlets located in Jakarta and Surabaya. ( NKK )
