Twenty Three years ago when I moved TO Sanur It was always to me the place where retirees and people with families wanted to be.
Eighteen years ago I went so far as to build our first villa complex and I named it Bali Golden Villas for a very good reason because I believed it would attract people in their Golden Years who want to be within walking distance of everything including hundreds of shops, restaurants and especially the six kilometre white sand beach.
Over the past year the government has taken steps to turn Sanur into the ideal place for retirees.
First they established medical tourism here and then finally yesterday announced that that they have established a special economic zone of around for 40 Hectares of land which happens to be within a few minutes of our Bali Golden Villas Emerald Villas and Jade Villas.
The new hospital and medical facilities are huge and will attract major international healthcare companies such as the Mayo Clinic which already stated they will have a clinic on the site.
In the future I envision Australians, New Zealanders, Singaporeans and many in Asia and the world saying they are going to Bali for a vacation.
In reality they're going for a face lift, breast job or major major treatment.
Many of them will also be coming for substantially inexpensive cancer treatment and diabetic treatment which are diseases that plague the elderly.
Sanur real estate will double or triple in value the next five years.
Virtually 100% of my predictions at the beginning of this year have come true including a return to 70% of pre-Covid rentals occupancy in our villas.
My current observation of the market in Sanur is that many new comers want to move here.
There is very limited availability an the prices of our Bali Luxury Villas.
Rental rates and Sales prices of the limited supply on the East side of the By Pass 4 land road in Sanur should increase dramatically in the coming years.
Remember that all these facilities that the government is building are going to have to be staffed.
The staff will want to live within walking distance of the facility.
That means doctors will pay large amounts of rental rates along with the nurses and other professional healthcare staff.

I've published blogs on this before but frankly I anticipated it would take some time to come to fruition.
It now looks like they're serious.
The potential benefits of this new world-class international hospital featuring one of the top clinics in the world the famous Mayo Clinic from the United States will be immense for Bali and especially Sanur.

New Demand, Higher Prices for Sanur Quality Accommodations:
Obviously, there's going to be hundreds of nurses, medical personnel and dozens and perhaps even hundreds of doctors from around the world who are going to need accommodations for both short-term and long-term.
Our fifty-five Pt. Bali Luxury Villas with 135 bedrooms is within walking distance. only approximately 2 km ( 1 Mile) on a magical beach walk away.
So, I expect the first renters and buyers will be engineers, contractors followed by medical staff and finally doctors.
Prediction Becomes Reality:
So a prediction I been making for 15 years that someday Sanur would be a centre for medical tourism and attract those seeking high-quality inexpensive medical care from around the world will come true.
There is no question in my mind that this new Bali International Hospital, which obviously has the full support of the national government and the Mayo Clinic, will attract some of the best doctors in the world.
After all what Dr. would not want to bring their family to Bali and live here for several years for a fraction of what it costs in their country, with clean air, low crime, and some of the best food and activities in the world.
I also believe that most of the world will begin to adopt the philosophy that Covid will be around forever, and we should just live with it like we do a common flu or cold.
I hope I'm right on all these issues and things returned to normal very quickly.
