Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly will come to the G20 in Bali to attend a meeting of foreign ministers. The presence of Foreign Minister Joly signifies the presence of two representatives of North American countries, because the United States has also confirmed their attendance.
According to a press release from the Canadian Embassy, Foreign Minister Joly will come to Bali on 6-9 July 2022. The issue of food and the Russian invasion have also become the focus of the Canadian government.
Foreign Minister Joly is said to be reaffirming Canada's firm support for Ukraine's sovereignty. He will also invite friendly countries to uphold international rules and institutions.
"This G20 meeting occurs at a critical juncture in history and cannot be business as usual. With Russia Ukraine, Canada must be present to rebuke Russia for its lies," said Foreign Minister Joly.
The presence of Foreign Minister Joly is said to be used to retaliate against misinformation from Russian representatives regarding the invasion of Ukraine.
In front of the international delegation, Canada promised not to give the stage to Russian propaganda that seeks to rationalize the illegal invasion of a sovereign nation, or to misrepresent the global consequences of the Ukraine war.
Some of the consequences of the Russian invasion highlighted by Canada are inflation, economic security, international energy, peace and security.
In addition to the Russian issue, Canada will also discuss the issue of climate change and the COVID-19 . The issue of women's equality is also Canada's focus.

United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken will attend the Foreign Ministers forum at the G20 Bali event. The issue of the Russian invasion is also an issue that will be brought up by Blinken.

The plan is that Foreign Minister Lavrov will visit Vietnam first, while Foreign Minister Blinken will visit Thailand after the G20 event. Myanmar and climate issues were also discussed by Foreign Minister Blinken in Thailand.
