Last week I reported on an article in the Bali Sun newspaper that stated that the Minister of tourism had stated that he was going to recommend to th federal Govt that they Reopen International Travel Corridor for Bali In October .
. Boy did I get static on that post.
Although the news was from a reliable News source there are a lot of fanatical people in Bali right now who believe it's another example of the “Boy Crying Wolf”.
What does The Boy Who Cried Wolf symbolize?
Aesop's fable, ''The Boy Who Cried Wolf,'' teaches a timeless moral lesson: don't ''cry wolf. '' If you play a practical joke on somebody, they won't believe you when something really bad happens; you will lose their trust.
Yes we have had many false starts, and this also could be a false start because it has not been approved until they meet three days from now for final approval, but everything is looking good.
Bali Covid-19 cases and death rates have dropped significantly and most of Bali is vaccinated so we are ready for business.
Is the “Glass half empty or half full”
Was I wrong in being optimistic when I have 70 employees and their families plus my family that rely on tourism?
I would rather be optimistic than pessimistic.
Optimism is a disease just like pessimism.
If a lot of people become optimistic it could become contagious
One thing I know for sure.
Although we are not 100% sure that international tourists will return to Bali in October I can guarantee you one thing they will return as soon as it's safe.
I also know that in1918 the pandemic only lasted essentially two years. We are only six months from a two-year period in Bali.
In 1918 they didn't have vaccines they didn't have modern tracing & they didn't have high quality medical care.
So, I believe this is going to be over very soon
If you don't believe me this time here is CNN to satisfy the idiots out there that don't believe my post the other day
If you are one of them please keep your idiotic comments to yourself.
We need some optimism in Bali not pessimism.

So that the Covid-19 situation becomes more controlled through the integration of the Peduli Protect application.
Lastly is the preparation of adaptation tour packages, because we will start the trial of opening Bali tourism.
So that adaptation tour packages, such as booster vaccine tour packages, adaptation tour packages related to the expansion of the Green Zone, namely Sanur, Nusa Dua and Ubud.
Welcome Governor
The decision was welcomed by the Deputy Governor of Bali, Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati. Referring to this, he admitted that he would invite the public, including the Bali tourism creative industry players, to continue to adhere to strict and disciplined health protocols.
"We continue to monitor, monitor and increase vigilance in the field. However, we hope that there is a plan A-plan B-plan C," he said.
He emphasized that the discussion was not only about opening or not opening Bali tourism.
But it emphasizes the coverage of the area to be opened referring to the status of handling COVID-19. "If the situation is not good, how can we open it until we have considered the worst possibility," said the man who is familiarly called Cok Ace.
"So it doesn't matter if it is opened or closed, but there are levels that we are exploring, both regarding objects, whether it concerns the four quarantine places, whether it concerns the accommodation where they (tourists) will later stay," he explained.
