Prediction of Bali International Corridor opening may come to fruition.
It now appears that the Minister of Tourism Has endorsed a plan to open the International Corridor in just a few weeks.
We pray that this receives federal approval all the way up to President Jokowi and becomes a reality.
As I have been saying recently I see no reason why we can't open international tourism providing the tourists have proof of vaccinations and are tested before they depart and arrive in Bali.
I see no reason for quarantine.
With 96% of Bali's targeted population vaccinated already we are ready for tourists from international locations to arrive in Bali.
Let's not forget that we were voted the number one most "Popular Designations in the World " by Tripadvisor readers earlier this year.
When the international corridor opens there may be far more tourist arrivals than anybody expected .

The Tourism Minister has announced that the international travel corridor is expected to reopen in October 2021. 
After finishing a meeting that took place at the Bali Tourism Polytechnic on Friday (24/9) that was attended by several government officials to evaluate the preparations from the Bali provincial government in reopening the border for international visitors, the Tourism and Creative Economic Minister, Sandiaga Uno announced that the central government has planned to reopen the international travel corridor in October.

"Central government has planned to reopen the international travel corridor in October."
“We have discussed this program to reopen our border for international travelers today, and I will bring this to our next meeting with the Maritime and Investment Coordinator Minister, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan on Sept 30th 2021.” Sandiaga said on Friday (24/9).
The plan to reopen the border was initiated after receiving reports from Bali Vice Governor, Cok Ace about the recent Covid-19 transmissions in Bali that have significantly reduced and have been properly handled.
“After being informed that Bali is handling Covid-19 transmissions properly, Luhut immediately instructed us to prepare the reopening procedures by October 2021.” Sandiaga added. 
Apart from that, the implementation of the PeduliLindungi tracing app has been properly integrated in most of the places on the island.
Sandiaga also said that he is concerned and wants to help Bali residents overcome the current economic crisis due to this travel restriction policy, causing the majority of Bali’s population to lose their only source of income.
“This program was initiated to help the local community who have been relying on the tourism sector, to get back their jobs after being laid-off for over 1.5 years since the global pandemic struck.” Sandiaga concluded.
Sandiaga also hopes that the culture and nature based tourism will be a new trend for Bali’s tourism sector in the future.
