Bali news and views editor's comments:
After all the gloom and doom the last 48 hours in relation to the earthquakes and tsunamis 1,000 Kilometers away in Sulawesi it's nice to refocus on the good news, especially for Bali in the coming weeks,
From October 12-14, 2018, 2018 Bali will host the Annual Meeting of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group Bali Nusa Dua, Indonesia.
I heard somewhere that this is the largest meeting for IMF meeting ever held in history. And naturally so. Every I.M.F. delegate wants to come to the Best Island in the world with themselves and often with their families as well.
Bali will have to contend with congested Roads, especially in the Nusa Dua Convention area and around the airport.
There will be a multitude of police escorted VIPs visiting Bali's best attractions.
It will all be worth it because the press that Bali receives from this event will be the largest since the Miss Universe contest was changed from Jakarta to Bali several years ago.
It will show how Bali is able to host such a huge prestigious event and pull it off like clock worth at a fraction of what it would cost to have it in other resort areas in the world.
Many of my friends and associates who are members of our local Skal Bali club will have to put on their best show to impress these very experienced, prestigious travellers at their hotels throughout southern Bali.
This will attract 15,000+ delegates and over 20 world leaders primarily from throughout Asia.
The world's press will focus on this conference and simultaneously feature some of the greatest attractions that Bali has.
Let's pray for great weather, a fine tuned well run conference and most important of course no more earthquakes, tsunamis or any other natural disasters.
As the boss of the I.M.F. Christine Lagarde revealed she believes Indonesia and of course that includes Bali " has a wonderful future":.
"Indonesia and of course that includes Bali " has a wonderful future"I.M.F. Christine Lagarde
I agree with many professionals who project that Indonesia will be the fourth most powerful economic nation in the world in the very near future.
So go Bali and put on your best show.
