Just a few minutes ago the school principal of the Gandhi Memorial International School. Ms.
Jaba Biswas announced that they will be reopening school for face-to-face schooling under limited conditions starting April 1st.
When I heard the news I took a play off of the Principals Name which is Jaba and remembering my childhood favourite shows the Flintstones I yelled "Yabba Dabba Do".
My boys thought I finally went crazy.
I've been telling my friends and associates lately that I pride myself on being a problem solver and always following my saying "every problem has a solution. Every solution is time money or combination of both".
As I jokinly tell my friends the most difficult problem I have not been able to solve is my boys online schooling.
Watching them spend six hours a day in their bedrooms with their computer screens has been agonizing for me and their mom Azizah.
Sadly they got addicted to games and even during breaks lunch and after hours they want to stay in their rooms and play the addicting games.
Also they don't have an opportunity to do what teenagers do when they go to school such as socialize and doing sports with other boys and probably other girls as well.
So as the Flintstones short flick that I've attached ends with the saying "and we will all have a good old time"
Hopefully no other variants will rear their ugly heads to bust the bubble of my enthusiasm at this time for my boys going back to school.
I'm sure all you parents in Bali and around the world agree.
I'm also sure that the teacher's staff at Gandhi and every school in the world will be happy to finally have the students come back to school and they can do the job that they unselfishly set out to do when they became teachers.
With the opening of the international airport the last two weeks and news that any flights to Bali are sold out for up to three months not only will the boys go back to school but we can get back to business and vacationing ourselves.
