More importantly it reveals a bright bit of news that came out yesterday when the President of Indonesia completed groundbreaking for the brand - new Bali International Hospital on Sanur Beach.
Those of you who live in Bali, especially those of you who live in Sanur may find the information very positive and inspiring during these dire times.

All of us here in Bali hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas.
For almost two years now during this pandemic we've adopted a saying “seeing is believing.”
We've had several major false starts on international tourist arrivals.
Not anybody's fault other than a virus that seems to want to redevelop it’s self anytime it is slowed down.
Omicron -The Grinch that Stole Christmas
Our hopes a month ago that Bali would be booming with tourists by Christmas after they opened the international airport were crashed with the emergence of the Omicron virus.
Just like the terrifying children's story where an evil entity the Grinch comes and steals Christmas away from the villagers Omicron came along at the last minute to kill hopes of a great Christmas for Bali and the world.
It spreads faster than the previous variants but is not as deadly.
Watching country after country begin to lock down on the news the last few days and then talking to my relatives back in Canada made me pretty depressed indeed as they all tell me that things are getting bad again.
Fortunately, up until this date there's been no confirmed cases of Omicron in Bali but it's maybe just a matter of time.
Things are back to normal here. Even the movie theatres and restaurants.
But as I tell my family, friends, and staff we must not let our guard down.
My opinion based on watching this virus closely for two years and researching the last major pandemic in 1918 plus using common sense is that modern vaccines developed in one year instead of five and now a new pill that may prevent most people from going to the hospital provides a glimmer of hope for the near term.
Bali to Become Major Medical Tourism Center:
This morning I was driving down the Bypass to my office after tennis at the brand-new Liga tennis club in Sanur.
Liga is a big plus for Sanur providing not only five indoor and two outdoor tennis courts but also a swimming pool and modern first-class gym.
All the traffic lights were turned off and police were directing traffic rapidly.
There were blue flashing lights behind me.
I thought obviously it was a dignitary.
I didn't know it was the President of Indonesia, Jokowi
A few hours later after reviewing news updates I noticed that he was here to do a ground-breaking at the brand-new Bali International Hospital.
I've published blogs on this before but frankly I anticipated it would take some time to come to fruition.
It now looks like they're serious.
The potential benefits of this new world-class international hospital featuring one of the top clinics in the world the famous Mayo Clinic from the United States will be immense for Bali and especially Sanur.
The Mayo Clinic is a non-profit American academic medical center focused on integrated health care, education, and research.
It employs over 4,500 physicians and scientists, along with another 58,400 administrative and allied health staff, across three major campuses:
They specialize in treating difficult cases through tertiary care and destination medicine.
The top-15 ranked Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in addition to many of the highest regarded residency education programs in the United States.[
New Demand, Higher Prices for Sanur Quality Accommodations:
Obviously, there's going to be hundreds of nurses, medical personnel and dozens and perhaps even hundreds of doctors from around the world who are going to need accommodations for both short-term and long-term.
Our fifty-five Pt. Bali Luxury Villas with 135 bedrooms is within walking distance. only approximately 2 km ( 1 Mile) on a magical beach walk away.
So, I expect the first renters and buyers will be engineers, contractors followed by medical staff and finally doctors.
Prediction Becomes Reality:
So a prediction I been making for 15 years that someday Sanur would be a centre for medical tourism and attract those seeking high-quality inexpensive medical care from around the world will come true.
There is no question in my mind that this new Bali International Hospital, which obviously has the full support of the national government and the Mayo Clinic, will attract some of the best doctors in the world.
After all what Dr. would not want to bring their family to Bali and live here for several years for a fraction of what it costs in their country, with clean air, low crime, and some of the best food and activities in the world.
This Too Shall Pass - Live with Covid
So, the bottom line is this too shall pass.
I also believe that most of the world will begin to adopt the philosophy that Covid will be around forever, and we should just live with it like we do a common flu or cold.
I hope I'm right on all these issues and things returned to normal very quickly.
