When friends lose loved ones I always pass on my condolences.
Then I quote one the most famous geniuses of our time Albert Einstein who said, "Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another".
Nobody really knows what happens after loved ones pass because no one has ever come back from the dead to tell us what happens.
But I do know that we are energy and we do change form.
What happens to our energy is the subject of theories in many religions, but the bottom line is energy cannot be destroyed.
I am one who believes that when a person passes their energy goes into some cosmic space surrounding us.
I often feel spirits in different places around the world, especially in Bali.
For example, a good friend in Hawaii who owned an old plantation home invited me to dinner one night. The moment I walked in the door I said “wow there some strong spirits here”. He “said yes we have a ghost who comes down and plays chess occasionally”.
Later, that evening I experienced one of our friends going into a full-on trance. I learned that her father had passed at the same instance.
Bali Spiritual Experience
This morning I had what I believe is a spiritual experience related to the 97th. birthday of my dear mother who passed 10 years ago.
I woke up early with the birds at 6 AM went down and had a coffee while reviewing the news on my computer.
Then I went out to the Bale by the ocean and reviewed other news items such as Facebook before I had a swim.
While reviewing my memories on Facebook I was reminded that November 10th. 1924 was my mother’s birthday.
While looking at her picture on Facebook my eyes teared up as I thought of her and the fond memories of the loving, caring, intellectual, beautiful woman that I called Mom.
After a quick swim I went back into our house.
I was walking upstairs and I glanced at the coffee cup on the table that I brought in and realized that it was the only coffee cup that I have left from her with her name on it.
Some may say I subconsciously chose it, but I believe something else happened. At 6 AM in the morning with my eyes half closed before my first coffee I had randomly chosen this cup in a dark kitchen without looking at the cup.
I am convinced that this was a spiritual contact from my mom, who was a very powerful women, to remind me that she's always there for me.
I only wish she was around to see how happy I am with my lovely wife Azizah, who like my mom is not only beautiful but also intelligent, caring and a wonderful person.
I had visions of her frocking in the pool with my two great son’s who would be the grandchildren she always wanted.
So, remember always enjoying your mom and dad while they are here and know that when they are gone they will always be around.
