Beijing (ANTARA) - Media in China are busy broadcasting news of the reopening of tourism in Bali for foreign tourists starting October 14, 2021.
Indonesia will reopen Bali to international tourists from October 14, the head of the Xinhua News Agency, monitored by ANTARA Beijing, said on Thursday.
Indonesia will open international flights to Bali for foreign tourists from certain countries starting October 14 after the transmission of COVID-19 in the country has reduced, reports the Global Times.
International tourists are allowed to enter the island nation by showing proof of booking a hotel for a minimum of eight days of quarantine and the results of a health test, as reported by The Waijiao website.

In its reporting, the media in China also introduced the term PPKM (Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities) as a restriction on the movement of local people imposed in Indonesia.
Restrictions on several public places in Indonesia, including shopping centers, entertainment venues and sports arenas, have begun to be relaxed, according to the news website which is a reference for foreign nationals in China.
The news about the reopening of tourist objects on the Island of the Gods also became an interesting treat for the Chinese-language media in China.
"This is the lowest case since Indonesia was hit by the second wave of the pandemic in June," the Chinese-language mainstream media website wrote.
A few years before the outbreak of COVID-19, China became the largest contributor of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia, especially Bali.
Every year there are about 2.5 million tourist visits from China to Indonesia.
