• Rules on travel are changing quickly, so beware.
• All arrivals – both domestic and international – at DPS must arrive with a negative PCR test result (rapid test is not good enough) issued within 7 days of arrival. Recent reports from travellers returning to Bali from Australia are that new arrivals are required to stay in quarantine after arrival until they pass two negative PCR swab tests – recently increased from one.
• Departing passengers from DPS must have a negative PCR test within 7 days of departure (counted from the time of the TEST), or a Rapid Test result within 3 days of departure. They have been checking for these at the entrance to the airport before checking in.
• As of 11 June, the best information I have is that the SIKM (Surat Izin Keluar Masuk) IS still required to enter Jakarta. Apply here https://corona.jakarta.go.id/id/izin-keluar-masuk-jakarta
• Jakarta transit for international departures via Garuda – you need a rapid test (within 3 days), you do NOT need a swab test unless your connecting carrier requires it, and you do NOT need the SIKM for transit only.
• Swab tests for travelers are supposed to be available from Rumah Sakit Udayana in Jimbaran. Make an appointment online at https://registrasi-rs.unud.ac.id/?lang=en. Recent info is that it takes 3 days to get your results. Rapid tests and PCR swab tests are available at a variable range of private hospitals, but it changes daily. Members are welcome to comment with testing locations based on max 24 hours experience, but I’m generally out of this business.
• There are NO scheduled international flights from Denpasar right now, all international flights are from Jakarta only.
• NO new tourist or social visit visas are being issued to any arriving foreigner. There is no information on when this will change.
• Foreigners with KITAS/KITAP visas may enter Indonesia with: 1) appropriate PCR test docs, 2) a QR code from travel data registration (https://cekdiri.baliprov.go.id/registration_wna), and 3) a Surat Tugas (letter from employer stating your reason for travel). Those with KITAS/KITAP visas that have expired during the emergency period are also permitted to return to Indonesia.
• Visitors currently IN Indonesia now have special emergency stay permits that will last until the formal State of Emergency declared by the President on April 13 is subsequently declared ended. Do not go to Immigration. May 29th, June 6th and June 8th were all irrelevant as is any other date you might read that is not linked to the END of the State of Emergency. No, I haven’t heard anything, and yes, everybody is watching this closely.
Domestic Travel

• Garuda, Citilink and Lion Air Group are flying limited domestic schedules, and there are lots of conditions and restrictions. Check their web sites.
• AirAsia has domestic flights to/from Bali listed for Friday 19 June. Maybe.
International Flights
• AirAsia has international flights DPS-SIN listed for 01 July. I’ll believe it when I see it.
• This is the most recent flight tracker from the British Embassy posted June 5th. It includes resumption of 3x weekly Emirates flights to Jakarta.

• The US Embassy news as of 15 June. “Our most current information indicates that there are 25 flights over the next week by which U.S. citizens can return from Indonesia to the United States operated by ANA, Japan Airlines, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, Garuda Indonesia, Asiana Airlines: 25 from Jakarta (7 via Tokyo, 1 via Osaka, 5 via Doha, 4 via Hong Kong, 6 via Seoul, 2 via Amsterdam).”
• Garuda has three flights a week to Australia from Jakarta: Sydney (Tuesday), Perth (Thursday), and Melbourne (Saturday).
• The Canadian Embassy is listing connections to Canada using Garuda, Asiana, Qatar, ANA, and Japan Airlines.
