The Nostradamus of Bali predictions come true once again |
Lawrence making predictions in Shanghai. |
My close friends will testify to both predictions.
When I was in grade 10 I remember my health teacher coming in with an milliammeter which is capable of measuring minute electrical currents .
He placed the positive and negative leads in the air and said as you can see there is no sign of any electrical current.
Then he placed it next to my brain without touching my skin and a very minute current was registered.
At that point 50 years ago before desktop computer and cell phones were even invented I concluded that "sometime in the future man would locate the positive and negative terminals of our electronic brain and look up amplifiers and devices to it so that we can use our brains are all sorts of things such as reading other people's minds, controlling the movement of objects, and inputting data"
I concluded that in the future mankind would not even have to talk .
They would simply wear a device to communicate.
I've often told this story and prediction to new friends over the past 50 years. Most looked at me with scepticism and questioned my sanity.
A saying I came up with around the same time was that "Today's fiction becomes tomorrow reality" I teach this to my sons all the time.
From the Earth to the Moon 1865 novel by Jules Verne. It tells the story of the Baltimore Gun Club, a post-American Civil War society of weapons enthusiasts, and their attempts to build an enormous Columbiadspace gun and launch three people—the Gun Club's president, his Philadelphian armor-making rival, and a French poet—in a projectile with the goal of a Moon landing.
Many of you may remember early comic books where the author envisioned aliens transmitting signals to each other and moving things with their brain.
More recently in a Star Wars Movie you may remember Young Skywalker receiving instructions from Joda in the swamp and being taught that he can move things with his brain as could all true Jedi warriors.
Well guess what that "fiction is now become today's reality".
The fact that somebody conceived that it could happen gave engineers the idea that perhaps they could design something to make it happen.
In the last two weeks it has been announced that two of my long term predictions, made approximately 50 years ago have come true.
FACEBOOK-BACKED RESEARCH SEES PROGRESS LINKING MINDS, MACHINES
A few hours ago I woke up to the news that that "FACEBOOK-BACKED RESEARCH SEES PROGRESS LINKING MINDS, MACHINES".
It was announced that "A study published in Nature Communications detailed how researchers were able to capture brain signals being sent to produce speech and figure out what people were trying to say."
Fo details on this new discovery see below.
Elon Musk hopes to put a computer chip in your brain. Who wants one? In fact is already done I would monkey.
I gave an example of a woman with small breasts and then a woman with digitally enlarged breasts. Everybody laughed.
That prediction came true in that you can’t trust any photo that you see these days.
Probably my longest-term prediction was in 1980 almost 40 years ago when I got up in front of an audience of approximately 200 American investors on a Las Vegas show stage and predicted that “China would be the next economic power of the world”. Not only was I laughed at, but I was booed off the stage.
Yesterday was announced that America slid not only to second place behind China but is also third-place for world economic power.
The wealthy will control the minds of the population.
I foresee along with many new inventions there are positives and negatives.
The positives are that man's knowledge will increase super exponentially in that according Eldon Musk in the future anything we need to know will be simply downloaded off our mobile phone directly into our brain.
The question is how big is our brain capacity.
Problem is it may not be enough capacity to store very much.
The solution will be of course to have another device that through brain waves can store everything that you don't need in the near term.
Another positive is that People who can afford to buy these devices will be able to read minds as many of us are able to do already to certain extent.
When you amplify the receiver of your brain you will be able to read other people's thoughts.
One major benefit is Donald Trump will not be able to get away with his B.S. anymore.
Eldon musk and And Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook would not be spending lots of time money and effort on these inventions if they didn't think they were going to produce a profit.
I guarantee that these devices that will be available in the near future to hook up to your brain and control your mobile phone, computer many other items will be outrageously priced at first.
Only those with lots of money will be able to afford them.
This means once again the rich will have the benefit of technology over the poor and middle-class.
This fiction when it becomes tomorrow's reality may make you very depressed or you can change your status from poor, middle class to wealthy.
There are are only five ways that I know to do this.
- You can inherit money.
- You can marry money.
- You can do criminal activities or in some countries be a corrupt politician.
- You can work your butt off in school and college to become a professional such as a doctor, attorney, engineer architect etc.
- Or you can invest.
The older you are the more you get away with. LOL

SAN FRANCISCO, BALIPOST.com – Facebook-backed researchers have managed to translate brain signals into spoken words, bringing the social network’s vision of linking brains and machines closer to reality.
A study published this week by University of California-San Francisco scientists showed progress toward a new type of brain-computer interface. The project involved brain implants, but could be a step toward accomplishing the goal with a non-invasive method such as augmented reality glasses with sensors.
“A decade from now, the ability to type directly from our brains may be accepted as a given,” Facebook said Tuesday in an online post updating a project announced two years ago.
“Not long ago, it sounded like science fiction. Now, it feels within plausible reach.”
Such a breakthrough could benefit people with paralysis, spinal cord injuries, neurodegenerative diseases or other conditions making them unable to speak, and may also let people control technology such as augmented reality glasses just by thinking, Facebook said.
“It’s never too early to start thinking through the important questions that will need to be answered before such a potentially powerful technology should make its way into commercial products,” Facebook said.
A study published in Nature Communications detailed how researchers were able to capture brain signals being sent to produce speech and figure out what people were trying to say.
A standard set of questions were asked of the volunteers in the study, with the computer provided context to help figure out answers.

“Currently, patients with speech loss due to paralysis are limited to spelling words out very slowly using residual eye movements or muscle twitches to control a computer interface,” said UCSF neuroscientist Eddie Chang.
“But in many cases, information needed to produce fluent speech is still there in their brains. We just need the technology to allow them to express it.”
– Augmented minds –
The study was funded by Facebook Reality Labs, a research unit at the California-based internet titan focused on technology for augmented and virtual reality experiences.
The work is part of “Project Steno” exploring the feasibility of a wearable device that lets people type by imagining themselves talking.
“Our progress shows real potential in how future inputs and interactions with AR glasses could one day look,” Facebook vice president of augmented and virtual reality Andrew Bosworth tweeted.
Researchers hope to eventually decode 100 words per minute in real time with a 1,000-word vocabulary and an error rate below 17 percent, according to Facebook.
Futurist entrepreneur Elon Musk revealed this month his secretive dis startup is making progress on an interface linking brains with computers, and said testing on people may begin next year. (AFP)
