Aussie travellers eager to return to Bali have flocked to the airport in droves to make their escape to the holiday destination.
For many Australians, travelling to Bali is a yearly occurrence and for some, an even more regular trip.
The launch of a string of cheap flight sales has helped stimulate travel back to the beloved destination.

In a bid to get bums in seats, Jetstar dropped flights to Bali to as low as $99 one-way.
The cheapest seats have since been snapped up, but some penny-saving options are still available with the lowest one-way flight from Perth to Bali priced at $149.
Asia’s largest low-cost airline AirAsia will also return to Western Australia from mid-May, as it reintroduces flights between Perth and Bali from May 15.
And more services are still to come, with the low-fare favourite preparing to announce its season schedule for the remainder of the year.
While cheap flights are selling fast, the holiday love is yet to be reflected on the ground.
The airport chaos will be welcome news for businesses in Bali, who have noticed a slow return to the once-vibrant tourism industry.
Tight COVID-19 lockdown and travel restrictions devastated tourism on the holiday island, crippling an industry that is usually worth 54 per cent of its economy.

More than six million tourists visited Bali in 2019, including 1.23 million Australians.
But in the first nine months of 2021, Bali only had 43 foreign arrivals, as hotels, bars, restaurants and beaches sat empty.
Streets of the famous tourist hub Kuta are deserted still, with holidaymakers yet to return.
But tourism operators are optimistic the Bali buzz will be back, with hopes Aussies will make their way to the tropical destination when the Australian winter begins.

Confusion has shrouded discussions surrounding upcoming Bali holidays, as excited travellers express uncertainty over the mandatory quarantine requirements.
Here’s a breakdown of what you need to know ahead of your next getaway.
Will you need to quarantine?
The Indonesian government this month eased travel regulations for a raft of countries including Australia.
Prior to this, fully vaccinated arrivals were required to isolate for five days.
The new rules required holidaymakers to book three nights in a Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environmental sustainability-certified hotel and to take a day three PCR test before they could move on.
But the government has since announced travellers no longer need to book a CHSE hotel and can freely choose their accommodation.
Travellers can now expect to spend around three to six hours in isolation as they await their negative on-arrival PCR result. The day three test is also no longer required.

What should you do before your trip?
Have a negative pre-departure PCR test within 48 hours before your flight.
You will also need a travel insurance policy that covers COVID medical expenses, with a minimum coverage of $25,000 USD.
While the CHSE-certified accommodation is no longer required, you may be asked to show proof of booking for your first night.
Download the PeduliLindungi app, register and complete the health declaration (e-HAC) before you arrive.
Verify your proof of vaccination through the Non-Indonesia Vaccination Verification website, which can then be uploaded to the app.
What are the rules upon arrival?
As of this month, Aussies are able to purchase a visa on arrival for 500,000 IDR or around $50.
Show your completed e-HAC on the PeduliLindungi app and your pre-departure PCR test result.
Undergo a PCR swab test at the airport and head straight to check in at your accommodation, where you must wait until you get your result. This can be pre-booked online.
Once your test result comes back negative, you can resume your trip and start exploring.
What if you test positive?
If you test positive but have no or minor symptoms, you can isolate for five days at a government quarantine hotel at your own cost.
Then take another test and if that is negative, you can continue your travel plans on day six.
What should you do before leaving?
Airlines require a negative PCR test result upon check in at the airport.
Testing can be done at accommodation providers or authorised facilities and should be conducted one to two days before leaving. You can also pre-book this test online.
