Bali officials are getting a little bit more stricter in preventing people who have non-essential jobs and chores from travelling to the main city of Denpasar which of course includes Sanur.
Although technically this is not a lockdown it is a city border check to try to prevent as many people as possible from travelling around the city, which lately has been almost back to normal traffic.
This is probably a good move by the state to help prevent the already minuscule amount of cases of over 330 in the past 72 days from spreading.
Most residents will be able to avoid Denpasar and shop in their local areas.

Bali will reportedly put its capital Denpasar under strict lockdown and restrict access to its borders as it seeks to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Bali tourist slammed for removing ‘closed to visitors’ sign
A tourist riding a scooter has been criticised online for completely flouting rules and regulations in place in Bali to keep locals safe.
Bali will lock down the borders of its capital Denpasar as it seeks to limit the spread of coronavirus.
English-language outlet Coconuts Bali reports the island’s authorities will move to allow only people with “urgent and relevant” reasons to enter the city.
Monitoring posts have already been set up across the city with new the restrictions scheduled to start on Friday.

People who don’t have an acceptable reason to be in Denpasar will be turned away, according to a statement posted on social media by Denpasar City Government.
“Those without a clear purpose in visiting Denpasar, without adequate proof, purpose or urgency, will be redirected back to their places of origins,” the statement read.
Denpasar Task Force spokesman Dewa Gede Rai told Coconuts Bali people would be allowed to enter the city for work, but would be subject to rapid tests for COVID-19.
“Should the result appear ‘reactive’ we will immediately direct them to do a swab test, and if that comes out positive then we will quarantine them promptly,” he said.

Bali has seen 311 cases of coronavirus. Of those, 57 cases were in Denpasar, along with two deaths.
The pandemic has been particularly devastating for Bali, which relies heavily on income from tourism, including the 1.3 million Australians who visit each year.

Indonesia Travel Agent Association spokeswoman Madeleine Sophie said changes may be driven by travellers seeking out quieter, nature-based destinations after the pandemic.
“Places that offer natural tourism, outdoor activity would be the new preference for tourists in the future,” she told the Jakarta Post.
“In the past, people would only go to Instagram-worthy places, even if it was crowded, but now guests will avoid crowded places.”
