She was the breakout star of Married At First Sight's memorable fourth season.

And two years on, Cheryl Maitland is 'living her best life' with long-time boyfriend Dean Gibbs.

The happy couple are currently enjoying a luxury getaway in Bali together - which Cheryl has been documenting on Instagram.

In one image, the 28-year-old hairdresser reclines by the pool in a revealing striped bikini.

'Just over here living my best life,' she captioned the image.

In another, Dean clutches a fresh coconut while planting a passionate kiss on Cheryl's lips.

'You drive me COCONUTS! But I wouldn’t have it any other way!' he wrote.

The couple have been inseparable since getting together in 2017, with Dean often taking photos of Cheryl for her popular Instagram account.

Earlier this month, Dean joked that he was a 'boyfriend of Instagram' after having to snap a tonne of photos for Cheryl to use in a sponsored post.

Cheryl made headlines after appearing on Married At First Sight in 2017, after her relationships with Jonathan Troughton and Andrew 'Jonesy' Jones ended in tears.

Her initial match with Jonathan fell apart, and she was later paired up with Jonesy, but their romance didn't last either.

After the cameras stopped rolling, she found love with Dean, a tradie from Melbourne who is a convicted drug trafficker.

However, she has been noticeably absent from the talk show's second season, which is currently airing.

Various guest panelists have taken Cheryl's place instead, including former MAFS star Ryan Gallagher.

If you're having trouble deciding which city or country to visit for your next holiday, travel search engine Escape is a pretty nifty tool that will help you map out your best options.

For the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, for instance, Escape showed me the cheapest tickets I could get flying out of New York City. If I wanted to stick to places in the US, plane tickets between New York City and Worcester, Massachusetts were the cheapest at $118. If, however, I wanted to go to Europe, I could consider going to Edinburgh for the price of $540.




One of the most interesting features of Escape is that it provides you with many different filters to fiddle with. The top options Escape gave me changed after I had adjusted the settings to only include locations that were warmer in weather and places that were more "popular," an index calculated based on a country's tourism ranking and check-ins/reviews from travelers on social media. I also switched it to direct flights only.



With those filters in place, the locations with the cheapest plane tickets from New York City changed in every continent. Instead of Worcester, I could consider going to Washington DC for the slightly higher fare of $158. And in lieu of Quito, Ecuador, my best option in South America was now Bogota, Colombia, although the plane ticket would cost twice as much.

While there are already plenty of ways for you to search for the cheapest plane tickets between two locations online, such as Kayak, Expedia and Skyscanner, Escape is probably most useful for those who haven't decided on where they want to go yet and who might be swayed by the price of a plane ticket.

And even if you don't have immediate plans to travel, it's still a pretty fun way to pass your time, imagining all the places you could potentially visit for the price of a couple of hundred of dollars. Traveling may be expensive, but dreaming is still free, after all.

Half of the trade amongst the ASEAN members are only amongst Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. And now these 3 countries have agreed to trade without US$ amongst them. It will increase trade amongst them, which will make their domination of intra-ASEAN trade evenmore prevalent. Since you added Singapore in your question, then yes, the 4 countries not only dominate the trade within ASEAN but also international trade beyond ASEAN.

Based on IMF october 2018 data, these 4 countries account 2,2 trillion in total out of 2,9 trillion ASEAN’s total GDP. It’s like 76%. These 4 countries account 6,3 trillion in total PPP out of 8,6 trillion ASEAN’s total PPP. It’s like 73%.

By population, these 4 countries account 370 million out of 650 million southeast asian. It’s like 57%.

Indonesia combined with Thailand alone is already more than 50% of ASEAN’s socio-economic and geopolitical landscape. Adding Singapore and Malaysia will definitely corroborate the premise of your question.

Indonesia orders airlines to lower fares after domestic travel hit

With rising airfares in Indonesia impacting the local travel and tourism industry, the Indonesian government is strongly urging Indonesian air carriers, especially the state-owned Garuda Indonesia, to drop their airfares immediately.

Luhut Pandjaitan, the coordinating minister for maritime affairs, has given Indonesian airlines an ultimatum to lower their ticket prices on all routes from April 2019.Indonesian government has ordered domestic airlines to reduce its airfares

The decision was made during a meeting between the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs, Ministry of Transportation, airlines and tourism stakeholders earlier this week.

“Garuda Indonesia as the national flag carrier must drop its airfares soon, and that is an order,” said Luhut in official meeting notes circulated among industry members.

Budi Karya Sumadi, transportation minister said the government has stepped in to reduce fuel prices for airlines, which had earlier factored high fuel costs into their fare hikes.

“Some airlines have received a special payment scheme to purchase oil. All (Indonesian) regions have requested for airfare cuts.”

He urged Garuda, in particular, to take the lead in bringing down airfares as a state-owned company.

He also ordered the national carrier to provide subclasses on all flight routes. Garuda has closed the economy subclasses on many routes in recent months and published Y class fares, according to some Indonesian ticketing agents.

Responding to the government’s decision, Budijanto Ardiansyah, vice president of Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA), said the recent airfare hike caught customers off guard.

“Instead of asking airlines to reduce airfares, it is better to urge them to return to selling ticket subclasses, so customers have a choice of prices, from the most expensive to affordable within the (range) set by the government,” he said.

Budijanto opined that price increases were common in business, but the airfare hike in Indonesia was too drastic and ultimately took a toll on the travel industry, with domestic ticket sales down almost 30 per cent in the last couple of months.

Pauline Suharno, secretary general of The Indonesian Travel Agents Association (ASTINDO), added: “(On the one hand), we are fortunate that (the national and presidential) election is coming up. The election campaign to the regions made ticket sales normal. On the other hand, there is a decrease in corporate incentive travel demand. Also, travellers who usually take weekend getaways or short family trips during weekend are declining.”

Pauline is concerned that if high fares and lack of subclass choices persist, sales will be affected in the holiday season. Moreover, with competing destinations carrying out promotions and giving incentive for air tickets, Indonesia’s tourism will suffer greatly as more will opt to travel overseas.

“It’s not only the local travel agents who cry (foul). Other suppliers, such as hotels, amusement parks, museums will bite their fingers. Most sadly, the money that should be spent domestically is lost as Indonesians choose to travel abroad.”

Indonesia Hotel & Restaurant Association (IHRA) reports that hotel occupancy has suffered as a result of pricey air tickets.

Haryadi Sukamdani, chairman of IHRA, said: “Even though it is a low season, compared to last year, hotel occupancy has decreased by between 20 and 40 per cent. Hotels in the regions have gone quiet as demand shift from domestic to international travel.”

IHRA estimates that star-rated hotel occupancy across the country will stay around 55 per cent in 2019, similar to last year’s level. The stagnating figure, according to Hariyadi’s speech at IHRA National Meeting last month, is partly a result of the increase in room supply.

“But if the ticket problem continues, (hotel occupancy) will drop to less than 55 per cent,” he said.

Sydney Airport control tower evacuated, all flights grounded or diverted

Sydney Airport's control tower is being evacuated due to a fire — the ABC understands no flights are taking off or landing.

Emergency services were called around 11.40am to the air traffic control centre.

Fire and Rescue NSW said 20 people needed to be evacuated from the building.

Air Services Australia tweeted: "The Sydney Air Traffic Control Tower has been evacuated after smoke was detected."

"There is a full ground stop in place with no aircraft departing or arriving at this time @SydneyAirport."

One passenger on a flight bound for Los Angeles told the ABC he could see fire trucks from the window of his grounded plane.

"Virgin has decided to refuel to make use of the time and speed things up once we get going — people onboard are mainly bored and restless with kids crying and complaining," he said.

"My wife and others on the right side are watching the tower out the windows.

"We can see fire trucks from here but no smoke."

One man, on a flight bound for Bali, told the ABC the pilot had told passengers "he had not heard from the control tower" and that no planes were taking off or landing.

Bekasi. Indonesians no longer have to dig deep into their pockets to travel to faraway ski resorts just to enjoy the snow, now that grocery retailer Trans Retail Indonesia has officially opened Trans Snow World, the first indoor snow theme park in Indonesia.

Located at Trans Park Juanda in Bekasi, Trans Snow World is easily accessible to Bekasi residents and only a few hundred meters away from Bekasi Station.


Trans Snow World was officially opened on Sunday (24/03) by Chairul Tanjung, the founder and chairman of diversified conglomerate CT Corp. He was accompanied by his wife Anita Tanjung. Businessman and former Indonesian ambassador to Poland Peter F. Gontha also attended the opening.

"This is the first [indoor snow theme park] in Indonesia and I choose [to build it in] Bekasi," Chairul said.

The 6,500 square-meters Trans Snow World can accommodate up to 1,000 visitors at a time. It offers various activities and attractions including skiing, jet skiing, cable cars, snowman building and ice skating.


The theme park uses state-of-the-art technologies from Italy, Germany, China, South Korea and Japan to give visitors an authentic snow experience.

"It's just like in Europe," a visitor on Sunday said.

Tickets to the theme park cost Rp 200,000 ($14) each on weekdays and Rp 275,000 on weekends. On weekdays, a crowd of 10,000 are expected and twice as much on weekends.

Tickets are available in two-hour slots, starting from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and can be purchased at the door or online.

Trans Snow World is officially open for public on Monday.

Surviving in E-Commerce Era

Chairul said retail industry in Indonesia has been hard hit by the rapid rise of e-commerce. Shifting focus away from just shopping and diversifying its offerings will be key for Trans Retail Indonesia's survival.

"The Transmart concept is to combine entertainment, shopping and food in one destination," Chairul said. Transmart is a subsidiary of CT Corp’s Trans Retail Indonesia.


Chairul said visitors have responded well. "We are aware there has been a decline in our retail business, but since we've started using a different concept, the result has been significant growth," he said.

Retail stores that still stick to old concepts and conventional strategies will continue to see diminished sales and will not be able to survive, according to Chairul. He also pointed out that social media have led people to choose places to eat based on how "instagrammable" they are—hence the Trans Snow World.

"The [retail] concept has to change. We have to move from stores that sell goods to becoming a bonafide destination and an experience. If not, retail will not survive," Chairul said.
