Well I almost got into serious trouble today.
While planning to live one of my lifetime bucket list dreams to see Roger Federer play live, which I've missed in two grand slam titles because the got knocked out early, I almost blew it.
When advised by my assistance Jimmy Roland, who ran the Bali tennis tournament last year that I could see Roger play at the Hopman cup in Perth I jumped on the idea immediately.
I secured plane tickets for all four of us, my wife and two sons, and I to fly to Perth December 25th. and see the Hoffman cup tournaments which lasts from the 29th until Jan. 5th.

Months ago at first I was very apprehensive that I would be able to get good tickets for the event and kept on checking each day until the tickets were open.
I jumped on every ticket of every event that Roger would be playing in.
I thought I'd secured tickets for my sons as well but after reviewing the tickets today I realized that the night that I had them planned for was cancelled without me receiving notification.
Then I panicked, especially since securing the first tickets to watch Serena Williams the greatest woman that ever played tennis announced that she would play in the tournament on behalf of America against Roger, representing Switzerland in a doubles tournament.
This will be a historic event. It will be the first time ever that Roger and Serena have faced off against each across of net in an official tournament.
It maybe the last as both of them are getting very old for tennis. I wouldn't be surprised to see both of them announce retirement next year.
After you made over 100 million dollars why do you need to kill yourself anymore.
So today I panicked.
Just for the hell of it I checked to see there's any remaining tickets for this historic match. Low and behold there was a few left and I secured them.
Now all four of us will see this historic match which we will share in blogs, tweets, Facebook posts and lots of photos.
I hauled my sons in my home office to show them the tickets, photos of the arena.
I told that them that someday in the future they will be sitting down with their friends or children watching a tennis match and state "I went with dad to see Serena Williams play against Roger Federer for the first time in history live.
They were stoked. Maybe they will remember Father's Day next year.
Can't wait to tell mom the good news.

Two of the world’s greatest tennis players, Serena Williams and Roger Federer, will play against each other on New Year’s Day at the Mastercard Hopman Cup in 2019, with the annual mixed team event shaping up to be one of the most hotly contested in the history of the competition.
Twenty-three-time Grand Slam champion Williams will make her Australian tennis return for the first time since her famous Australian Open win in 2017, when eight-weeks pregnant with baby Olympia. Williams will represent the United States alongside dynamic rising star Frances Tiafoe.
Team USA face a New Year’s Day showdown against Team Switzerland, led by 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer and Belinda Bencic in what promises to be one of the most exciting match ups of the new year.
Germany’s Angelique Kerber, the world No.3 and three-time Grand Slam champion, and world No.5 Alexander Zverev had a great time in Perth in 2018, and will return with hopes of improving on their finals finish this year.
World No.19 and the nation’s top ranked player Ashleigh Barty will team up with Perth’s own Matt Ebden to represent Australia.
Two-time Grand Slam champion Garbine Muguruza and former world No.3 David Ferrer will make their debut for Spain.
Greek rising stars and childhood friends, world No.15 Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari, will make the journey to Western Australia for the first time.
Perennial favourites France join the field with 2017 Davis Cup champion Lucas Pouille and Alize Cornet, who featured in the nation’s 2014 victory.
Great Britain’s Cameron Norrie and Katie Boulter round out the field for 2019.
Williams returns to Western Australia for the fifth time ahead of her 18th Australian Open campaign.

“I always enjoy playing in Western Australia in front of the crowd at Perth Arena. The Aussie fans are so warm and supportive and the Hopman Cup always gives me a great start to the season, especially ahead of the Australian Open,” Williams said.
“I haven’t played with Frances in mixed doubles before, but have watched him from a far this year. He has a very bright future and I’m looking forward to being on court with him, it will be a lot of fun.”
Twenty-year-old Tiafoe is one of the world’s most impressive Next Gen players. He won his first singles title in February to become the youngest American champion on tour since Andy Roddick in 2002 and hit a career high ranking of 38 in August.
“I hear it’s extremely nice… all the top guys play and it’s a very relaxed event but pretty serious at the same time,” Tiafoe said about the Hopman Cup.
“Everyone feels right at home to start the year. So I’m pretty excited for it.
“I’m extremely nervous to play with Serena, a complete legend. But I’m sure it’ll be fine. We’ll have a good time and hopefully get some wins.”
