10,950 People Relocated to Klungkung Due to Mt. Agung Eruption

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Klungkung Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) recorded 10,950 people spread across 42 villages or sub-districts, or 3,131 more people from 7,819 people had been relocated on Thursday (7/12).

"We take in the refugees from Karangasem since they reside in danger zone and Klungkung administration is ready to accept them," BPBD Klungkung head Putu Widiada on Sunday (10/12).

From the latest data on Saturday evening (9/12), 7.238 people spread across 18 villages/sub-districts of Klungkung District, 1,433 people spread across 13 villages of Banjarangakan District, 1,254 people in Swecapura Sports Center Post, and 1.025 people spread across 11 villages of Dawan District.

Putu Widiada continued that officers in Klungkung have recorded health services provided by the health team to the refugees. The team has served treatment to 380 babies, 1910 toddlers, 119 pregnant women, 4321 elders, 9048 adults, and they also provided referral to 91 people.

"The total of 17,167 people have been given medical treatment across health facilities in Klungkung," he explained.In addition, 32 refugees lost their lives consisting of 29 elderly people and 3 adults.
